1. In 2020, Portsmouth F.C. hosted their biggest game in recent history when they faced off against Charlton Athletic in the League One playoff semi-final at Fratton Park. The result was a 2-2 draw, with Pompey eventually winning the tie on penalties.
2. Portsmouth's last FA Cup win in 2008 was sealed with a 1-0 win over Cardiff City at Fratton Park. The match was won by a solitary goal from Nwankwo Kanu in the 78th minute, sealing a remarkable victory for the home side.
3. In 2003, Fratton Park hosted arguably one of the biggest matches in its history as Manchester United visited for an FA Cup quarter-final tie. Despite taking a 1-0 lead through David Beckham, United eventually lost the game 2-1, with Pompey progressing to the semi-final of the competition.
4. In 2016, Portsmouth featured in a dramatic League Two playoff semi-final against Plymouth Argyle at Fratton Park. After the teams were level at 1-1 after normal time, extra time was required to separate the sides, with Portsmouth eventually winning 4-2 on penalties, securing their place in League One.
5. In 2019, Portsmouth hosted Chelsea in an FA Cup fifth round tie at Fratton Park. Despite taking an early lead through Christian Burgess, Chelsea eventually ran out 4-2 winners thanks to goals from Willian and Olivier Giroud.
